Ribs and Sauce

Preparing The Ribs


  • Defrost ribs in fridge over night
  • Cut the slab into 2 bone sections
  • Fill large pot with water
  • Add your favorite spices to water and bring to a boil
  • Recommended spices : 1/2tsp salt, 1/2tsp garlic powder, dash of Hot pepper seeds
  • Once water reaches a boil, place ribs in water for about 30-45 minutes *varies by weight*


The Sauce



  • Start by putting your favorite BBQ sauce in a medium size sauce pan
  • Recommended BBQ sauce : Open Pit
  • Add 3 cups lite brown sugar
  • 4 ounces Special Butter
  • 1tsp of mustard
  • A dash of your favorite beer or whisky
  • slowly simmer your sauce for about 20-30min on low temperature, mixing often


Cooking The Ribs



  • Preheat oven to 350 Or grill to Medium heat
  • Dip ribs into sauce and place on cookie sheet or Grill
  • Helpfull Advice: When using the oven, line cookie sheet with tin foil
  • Cook ribs for about 45-50 minutes, fliping often and adding more sauce
  • Cooking times varie, Use a meat termomiter to cook to your liking
  • If using the grill turn heat down to low after about 25 min.
